Step onto West 116th Street and Lenox Avenue during one of the most consequential eras in Harlem history. 116th & Lenox is a historically inspired Kinfolk Keepsake Story World paying homage to the community surrounding Mosque No. 7 during the years when Malcolm X emerged as one of the most influential voices in Black America.

Outside the mosque, neighbors gather as a speaker addresses the crowd. Men in sharply tailored suits stand nearby while families, children, shopkeepers, and passersby fill the sidewalk. Look beyond the gathering and Harlem continues moving around them—the neighborhood bookstore, Temple No. 7 Luncheonette, a newspaper seller with copies of the Harlem Herald, period buses and automobiles, and residents watching the scene unfold from apartment windows above.

Every corner offers another detail to discover: conversations happening along the sidewalk, children standing among their families, customers inside the luncheonette, books filling the storefront windows, and the unmistakable rhythm of everyday Harlem life continuing around a moment of extraordinary cultural significance.
